From 1991 to 2006, Apple, Inc. designed, developed and marketed Apple PowerBook, it being a line of Macintosh laptop computers. All these years, it kept getting revised in its design with many firsts to its credit. The model was targeted at the professional market, and it became a trend-setter over there, bagging income along with gathering awards like 2001 Industrial Design Excellence Awards "Gold" status, and Engadget's 2005 "Laptop of the Year".
The names of the models that made its historical development are PowerBook 100 series, PowerBook Duo, PowerBook 500 series, PowerBook 5300, PowerBook 1400, PowerBook 3400, PowerBook G3, and lastly PowerBook G4.
